Lautoka clubs celebrate Independence Day

THE Rotary Club of Lautoka and Rotaract Club of Lautoka partnered with the Western Divisional Library to celebrate the United States of America’s Independence Day.

Rotary Club of Lautoka president Teresa Ali said more than 50 school children showed up to the event with their parents.

“We hold special readings each Saturday and today we decided to also celebrate America Day,” she said.

“It’s great to see the turn out and have these kids come with their parents not only to read but to mark an event like this.”

Children and parents also took part in fun educational activities that raises awareness on climate change.
