Lateef and Moore deny charges against them

The case involving former  Suva lawyer , Shazran Abdul Lateef and Zoe  Moore, who are jointly charged with drug related offences was called today at the Suva Magistrates Court.

The two appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili.

The duo are charged with two counts of found in possession of illicit drugs. Both were arrested following a raid at a home in Nailuva Road last year .

It is alleged that both on August 14, 2019, at Raiwai, without lawful authority, were found in possession of an illicit drug namely methamphetamine weighing 0.0063 grams.

For the second count, it is alleged that the duo on the same day  without lawful authority, were found in possession of an illicit drug namely cannabis sativa weighing 07.5 grams.

Both denied the charges against them.

Mr Lateef had his bail extended while Ms Moore was remanded.
