THE Lami football side is aware of the importance of its Vodafone Senior League playoff match against Nasinu this week.

Nasinu leads the playoff standings with three points after a 1-nil win over Savusavu last week while this will be Lami’s first match.

Lami coach/president Deepak Chand said they had been training hard and were going into the playoffs to win.

“We have defeated Nasinu two times this season, however, this will be a different ball game. Nasinu come into this game with three points and they will try their best to record their second win,” Chand said.

“The boys know what to do. We have been playing together for some time now and we are looking forward to the match on Sunday.”

The Lami side played a friendly match against Suva at the Fiji FA Academy grounds in Vatuwaqa, Suva, today.

Lami won the Viti Levu zone while Nasinu finished second.
