WITH the school holidays underway, some sporting organisations are using the break to conduct coaching clinics to children.

It is a way of keeping the children occupied in learning how to play sports.

Among those conducting clinics is the Fiji Tennis association national coach Dinesh Lal.

He conducts three sessions every week at the Suva Lawn Tennis Club courts at Albert Park in Suva. Lal says the school break is always a busy time for him and other tennis coaches teaching children the basics of tennis.

“We have a range of children who to take part in these clinics, some come for the first time,” Lal said.

He has been coaching tennis for 15 years now and has no plans to stop. “Ii is always great to help children when their interest is there.

“We have coaching clinics here in Suva as well as programs running in Nadi and Lautoka.”

Lal holds his coaching clinics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 12 noon and will continue until the next school year begins.
