Lakena bus accident: Second suspect charged

A SECOND person has been charged with regards to the Lakena bus accident last week that claimed the lives of two school children.

Police say the driver of the private vehicle linked to the bus accident in Lakena has been charged and will be produced at the Nausori Magistrates Court today.

“The 36-year-old from Naisaumua Village in Tailevu has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occassioning death, two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving.”
