Fijian Police have charged a 57-year-old labourer of Ba with three counts of rape for allegedly offending his four-year-old step-granddaughter.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the alleged incident occurred several times last week at a cane field near the victim’s home.
“The victim relayed the alleged incident to her mother whereby a report was lodged at the Ba Police Station,” Ms Naisoro said.
The man will be produced at the Ba Magistrates Court today.
