THE Labasa football side is trying to secure the services of three of its new transfers so they could feature in the Vodafone Premier League opener against Ba this Saturday.

Team president Rayaz Ali has confirmed that Suva trio Napolioni Qasevakatini, Ravinesh Karan Singh and Antonio Tuivuna have been training with the northerners.

“We have applied for the transfer of these three players and are hoping to get them cleared before Saturday. It is our first game of the season and will be a very important game for us,” Ali said.

Ali has urged the northerners to come out in numbers and support the home team.

“Home crowd does make a difference and we are hopeful that the Labasa fans will make the most of this opportunity and come out in numbers to support their team.”

Labasa plays Ba at 1.15pm at Subrail Park on Saturday, January 26.

The competition will be officially launched before the match at 12.45pm.
