THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) is undergoing reforms, says Transport Minister Parveen Kumar.
He said a review was also going on to ensure that LTA officers and managers were entrusted with decisive roles.
“We want to give powers,” Mr Kumar said.
“We want to empower our managers, district managers. They will be given all those powers to exercise within the districts. All of these things are happening and it is just a matter of time and I urge you to be patient.”
While responding to queries that were raised during the Fiji Driving Schools’ Association Central/Eastern division’s annual general meeting in Suva on Sunday, Mr Kumar said this would be done in order to ensure better service delivery to members of the public.
The minister also urged driving school operators to write to his office or call him directly if they were dissatisfied with the services offered by LTA.
