Kubuabola attends APEC summit in PNG

MINISTER for Defence, Inoke Kubuabola is currently in Papua New Guinea attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is which is expected to conclude on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Mr Kubuabola is attending the summit on behalf of the Prime Minister and is accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Defence and National Security.

APEC is an inter-governmental forum where 21 Pacific Rim member economies promote free trade throughout the Asia region.

The Fijian delegation is expected to meet President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinxing, the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison, the Chair of the APEC, Peter O’Neill, and the United States Vice President, Mike Pence.
