Since establishing the KPMG South Pacific Partners in 2021, with its Australian and PNG counterparts, KPMG Fiji has doubled in size.
Speaking at the opening of the $6 million KPMG Fiji office in Nadi, KPMG Australia Managing Partner Naomi Mitchell said this was a very successful decision by the company.
“KPMG Australia has a long and proud history of collaboration with Fiji that extends over four decades,” Ms Mitchell said.
“In July, 2021, the firm established the KPMG South Pacific Partners made up of KPMG Fiji, KPMG PNG and KPMG Australia.
“This has been a very successful decision with KPMG doubling in size since then assisting our growing client base in areas including audit services, advisory and business and tax advisory.”
She said they had created a range of synergies through shared technology systems and processes.
“We have unlocked new ways of resource sharing and we have tapped into back office support of KPMG and delivered opportunities by expanding our service offerings to clients in Fiji.
“Our firms share the same challenges and so we have the expertise in finding the right solutions.”
She said their Fiji Dynamics (FDX) arm also further boosted the company’s growth.
“This was launched from humble beginnings in 2021 and we had a pilot of just five staff.
“Today, we have close to 100 people working with Australia. Our growth forecasts put that at 180 at the end of 2023 and 350 people in the next three years to support enterprise and the KPMG firm.”
