Koroipita Model Town set to undergo major expansion

THE major expansion for Koroipita Model Town in Lautoka will soon begin after an allocation of $2million was given to the project in the 2019/2020 National Budget.

Model Towns Charitable Trust chairman Peter Drysdale said the support confirmed a three-way partnership between the New Zealand Aid, Government and Rotary International.

“Construction plans in the first year include the acquisition of a 15 acre land lease, environmental impact assessment and bond, engineering and the commencement of civil works for a sub-division for a further 145 homes for needy families,” he said.
