The Vanua o Vunivivi is mourning the death of the turaga na Komai Nausori, Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau.
The daughter of the late Taukei Vunivivi, Adi Mereia Tuinsakea Tagicakibau confirmed in a post on social media that her late Ratu was called to rest a little after 4pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Di Tui said the official condolence gathering ‘reguregu’ begins on tomorrow, Wednesday June 21 at the Nausori village hall in Nausori.
“A thanksgiving service will be held at the Nausori Methodist Church on Friday, June 23 before he is laid to rest at the Sau Tabu, the chiefly burial grounds in Nausori,” Di Tui said.
“To his corporate colleagues, the sporting community, business community, the Nausori community, we, his family express our sincere appreciation for all the overwhelming love, support, messages of condolences, prayers and warm thoughts.
“We invite you all to join the family in celebrating and honoring a life well lived of our beloved Ratu. He dedicated his life to the church, vanua and to his family.”
The late Komai Nausori is survived by his wife, Taina Tagicakibau, three children and nine grandchildren.
