RUGBY Academy of Fiji held their Milo Fiji Kids Friendly Tag Festival yesterday attracting more than 400 children at Albert Park in Suva.

Academy founder Seremaia Bai said the holiday program had grown with more children participating at the festival.

“We initially started with only 10 children last year and this year we have hit the roof and gone beyond the expected number,” said Bai.

Bai began the program earlier last year to attract kids during the holiday season.

“We know Fiji has talent and these types of programs are there to help create a pathway for the younger generation to follow in their dreams in being rugby players.

“And since it is the school holidays, what better way to spend the day than bringing them down to Albert Park to enjoy a game of tag and develop skills as well as make new friends,” said Bai.

Bai is hoping to expand the program to other parts of the country by next year.
