Take nothing away from the Fiji Bati outfit in their historical quarterfinal win over New Zealand.
A great win indeed from a very focused, fit and determined team.
Fiji made two very important decisions that made the difference in their 4-2 win to Fiji’s advantage but there were three more very kickable penalties from close range which our team decided to play and not kick which would have given them a 10 nil cushion if our kickers were on target.
Kerekere please to our courageous Bati captain Kevin Naiqama, please skipper make good use of the kickable penalties as it will make a hell lot of difference to your semi-final game against the might of the world’s number one and current reigning champion Australia.
The passion and not playing for the monies at stake, pride on wearing the Fiji jersey, discipline and defence would be the call of the day.
I do hope that our Bati coach will not play someone in their first 17 who is unfit with some niggling injuries irrespective of the name as it will hinder our chances of winning and advancing to the finals.
This Friday is crunch time and do or die. Our prayers, cheers and best wishes are with you come show time this Friday, toso Bati, toso.
