FIJI Corrections Service Commissioner Commander Francis Kean said they would continue to knock on doors for a review of the work that corrections officers do.

He made these comments in his closing remarks on Thursday when the institution presented its annual report from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017 to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Justice, Law and Human Rights.

Opposition MP Mosese Bulitavu had earlier asked Mr Kean on whether FCS had conducted a job evaluation exercise to assess the work done by officers and also on the need to re-look at their salary structure.

Mr Bulitavu said FCS officers were more active than police officers and there was a need to look at their salaries.

In response, Mr Kean said he would not want to reveal the details on the job evaluation exercise publicly.

He said he would provide the committee a written response to the question.

Mr Kean acknowledged the work done by officers at FCS and said it was not an easy task.
