A FIJIAN kava exporter has secured its new export destination in New Zealand.
A1 Kava & Spice Dealer has signed a deal with Royal Global Marketing & Distributors (NZ) Ltd last week in Suva.
The deal was made possible after the 12-member business delegation from New Zealand met in Suva on a business mission seminar.
Company director Arunesh Chand said after a meeting with the NZ company, a memorandum of understanding was signed for export of his products to New Zealand where Royal Global Marketing & Distributors (NZ) Ltd would retail, wholesale and distribute to major cities around NZ.
Mr Chand’s consignment to NZ could leave Fiji as early as Friday.
“I have an established export business known as 1 Kava & Spice Dealer in Fiji and we export kava and spices to Kiribati, Tuvalu and USA.
“I was in search of a buyer from NZ for a long time and when I saw this delegation I was very happy and looked forward to establish a business deal,” Mr Chand said.
He acknowledged the Fijian Government for the initiative to empower export businesses in Fiji.
Royal Global Marketing & Distributors (NZ) Ltd managing director Jai Prakash said it was good that government was opening up doors for overseas business delegation to help investment in Fiji and secure export market for local businesses.
Mr Prakash said it made work easier for them with the assistance of the Government that allowed such one-on-one meetings and seminars in the country.
