A Nadi man whose father is wheelchair-bound and mother is a stroke victim is pleading for assistance from members of the public.

Sonal Prasad, 21, said his family was in a very desperate situation.

“My father has been in a wheelchair since August last year, he worked as a carpenter prior to getting sick,” he said.

Mr Prasad said he had just graduated with a trade diploma in Customs from the Fiji National University last year.

“I was on attachment at a shipping company in Nadi but was made redundant because of the second wave of COVID-19 in April.

“Life is so depressing at the moment.

“We have been assisted by some good Samaritans with groceries and we thank them all but my father is in urgent need of diapers also.”

Mr Prasad can be contacted on 8496737.
