THE Junior Japan side is ready for the challenge from their opponent in the second round of the World Rugby Pacific challenge today.
Japan will face Fiji Warriors at the ANZ Stadium this afternoon.
Head coach Satoru Endo said they would come out aggressive and he was confident that his young players would do the job when they faced Fiji.
“It will be a tough match judging from the size and the potentials that both teams have and all I could say is it will be a game to watch,” he said.
“We’ve come this far to have a taste of what Fiji has to offer.
“We are strong in all aspects but we know Fiji is going to give us a good run and we are ready.”
According to Endo, yesterday’s team run was more into working on their defence.
“We just need to tightened up our blitz defence and make sure we defend our territory so that we don’t let them score but that will be determined on the field.”
He said with adverse weather it could also affect their performance.
“With the changing weather we’re mindful of our game plan especially in our passing because sloppy pass can lead to unnecessary penalties.”
Japan scored a seven-try victory against Tonga A in their first match 47-28 last Friday.
