WEIGHTLIFTING Fiji coach Henry Elder is happy with Rebecca Johns’ performance during the IWF Junior Weightlifting championship.

Johns lifted a total of 80kg in the clean and jerk category.

Unfortunately, she fell short with a no lift in the 68kg for the snatch category during the B group 64kg women’s competition.

“In a very short time, she has proved herself and she has a long way to go,” Elder said.

“She has been in this sport for the past year and I think for the next 12 months, there is a good possibility that she will win big in the near future.”

Johns said she was happy with her performance and hope to do better in the future.
