THE new branch of Westpac Fiji is an impressive investment by Westpac into Fiji’s future and will make banking easier, more accessible and more enjoyable for the people of Suva, says Australia’s High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes.
“That’s because it responds to the way we increasingly want and need to bank – efficiently, in inspiring modern surrounds, with products and information matched to the Fiji market, and a strong focus on digital banking options,” he said.
Westpac officially opened its new state of the art branch at Garden City yesterday. CEO Kip Hanna said the new branch was built to deliver premium service and a digital experience, while being undoubtably Fijian.
“Garden City branch delivers on what our customers have told us they most want from their bank, which is Fijian warmth and hospitality coupled with advanced self-serve and assisted digital banking options. Plus access to specialist bankers in a comfortable modern setting when needed for more complex or confidential transactions and questions,” said Mr Hanna.
Mr Hanna said opening of Garden City branch meant Westpac customers now had two premium branches to choose from in Suva – one on each side of the city.
He said the first of its kind in Fiji, the newest branch was built to the same standard as Westpac’s latest Australian branches, but customised to meet the needs of Westpac’s Fiji customers.
Some of the services at the Garden City branch include: n Self-serve and assisted digital options, including Ipads;
- Accessible with easy parking and wheelchair access for those with limited mobility;
- Express options for business and corporate customers – 24/7 Business Express Deposit machine and cash/coin change machines;
- Concierge service; and
- 3 ATMs, a coin exchange machine and a zone for 24/7 banking coin exchange machine.
