LAUTOKA based Rotomould (Fiji) Ltd has become the first company to gain the world renowned accreditation ISO 9001:2008 quality management system.
The company has also completed all requirements for the AS/NZS 4766:2006 certification, which is a first for a water tank manufacturing company in Fiji.
National Disaster Management Minister Inia Seruiratu said it was heartening to note that “Fijian made” water tanks were used in a wide range of applications Pacific wide.
“Water being one of the single most important links has to be valued more significantly,” he said.
“Rain harvesting is the way forward and a good storage tank, which carries its trademark quality, along with its proper appurtenances, can minimise your water problems whether you reside in an urban or rural settlement.”
Rotomould Group of Companies group managing director Prakash Chand said rainwater harvesting had become very popular and was acknowledged as the most sustainable source of water.
