UNIVERSITY of the South Pacific’s vice-chancellor, Professor Rajesh Chandra has encouraged the management of the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) to accredit their program in order to make their programs more valuable.
He made this comment during a meeting in Suva with a delegation from SINU led by its vice-chancellor, Dr Glynn Galo.
The meeting involved discussions on how the university could develop a broader revenue base for their university.
Dr Galo said the university was not getting much from aid, however, it was the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that always assisted in the upgrading of their courses and facilities.
The university is in negotiations with the Australia Pacific Technical College to see if they could run some of their hospitality courses.
