Inmates graduate with national certificates

Two serving inmates and one former inmate today graduated with national certificates in automotive mechanic level one from the Nasinu Vocational Training Centre.

The training facility is based at the Nasinu Corrections Centre and the certificates are registered under the Fiji Higher Education Commission.

The qualifications come under the Fiji Corrections Service Training Academy.

International Committee of the Red Cross head of regional delegation in the Pacific, Vincent Ochilet, was the chief guest.

Commissioner of Corrections Commander Francis Kean thanked the graduates for their commitment.

“These are all part and parcel of their education and most highly their rehabilitation,” he said.
