The tourism industry has a huge potential to positively impact children’s rights.

Minister for Tourism, Faiyaz Koya shared this sentiment during the ‘Child Safe Tourism Stakeholders Workshop’, held in Nadi on Thursday.

“We must make a concerted effort to safeguard their wellbeing across all interactions in the tourism value chain,” he said

Mr Koya said the government was fully committed in making sure that children have the support they need to feel secure at all times.

“Responsible tourism is about respecting human dignity, equality and safety.”
