THE International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance today launched the ‘Upholding citizens constitutional rights for democratic consolidation in Fiji (C3)’ project at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva.

International IDEAs country program manager Adhy Aman said the C3 project was designed to enhance partnership between States and civil society organisations.

“The program is designed to support partnership between CSOs and State institutions,” Mr Aman said.

“The focus is enhancing capacity of CSOs to work with State institutions and for that people will also have an understanding of their constitutional rights in Fiji.”

The project is funded by the European Union and its co-implementers are the Citizens Constitutional Forum, Dialogue Fiji, Pacific Centre for Peace Building and Media Watch Group.
