LENORA Qereqeretabua will know the fate of her iconic buiniga at 10am today.

The Opposition Member of Parliament is placing her buiniga on the line to raise funds for children living with cancer under the WOWS Kids Fiji “Save it or Shave it” campaign.

The campaign will conclude at Albert Park in Suva today.

The program starts at 10am.

Ms Qereqeretabua said the shaving aspect of the campaign was to stand in solidarity with the children suffering from cancer who were going through chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

She said she was nervous of the idea at first, but was more concerned about getting donations to assist WOWS Kids Fiji with the work it did.

“I am getting a little bit worried because some of my friends are threatening to put money for me to shave,” she said.

“I am like OK, it’s fine. It’ll grow back, but as long as we get as much money as possible for WOWS, that’s all I care about.”

She added that there was also a need to raise awareness for people living in the outer islands to know that WOWS Kids Fiji existed and that they could assist them.
