FIJI’S Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says he does not speak of lies but speaks on real history, and that he works to solve the real issues facing Fijians.

While opening the Namosi Provincial Council meeting in Navua today, Mr Bainimarama reminded those present at the event that the choice on the table on November 14 was for people to either continue down the path of progress, or risk everything on a divided, hateful and hopeless opposition.

“You either put your trust in strong, proven leadership, or roll the dice on my untried and untested opponents, those with no idea of how a modern economy functions, and who make promises they have no real plan to deliver,” the FijiFirst party leader said.

He said no matter how well Fiji was doing today, political opponents would never admit it.

“That’s just politics, plain and simple. But because the truth and the facts are so clearly in my Government’s favour, they are again resorting to outright lies and spiteful deception, and we can expect to see more of those dirty tactics in the weeks ahead as we approach our second general election.”
