I  AM ready to serve, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who was sworn in for a second term in office at the State House in Suva yesterday.

Following his swearing in, Mr Bainimarama said his next immediate task was to work on his Cabinet line-up.

He said discussions had begun and he would meet with his team to discuss more on the issue.

“It’s been an exciting day for all FijiFirst supporters and candidates; the people have made their choice and they have selected my party to lead Government for the next four years,” Mr Bainimarama said.

He said they would work according to the party’s manifesto and the developments they had been carrying out over the past four years.

“We have our manifesto, a manifesto that is articulate and readable, people understand and I think that’s why people have elected us.

“I am not here to respond to other political parties, I am here to talk FijiFirst policies and which is based on equality. This is why people voted for us and of course we have put in place developments for the last 12 years but people have realised what we have done, they voted for certainty and development,” Mr Bainimarama said.

The event was attended by diplomats, close friends, family members and government officials.
