Huge reduction in fuel and gas prices from June 1

A review of the fuel and LPG prices by the Fijian Competition & Consumer Commission will see a huge reduction in prices from June 1.

Commission chief executive officer Joel Abraham said the new prices that come into effect from June 1 are:

Retail fuel prices:

Motor spirit down from $1.80 to $1.66 per litre

Premix down from $1.43 to $1.29 per litre

Kerosene down from $1.08 to $0.91 per litre

Diesel from $1.67 to $1.54 per litre

Retail LPG prices

4.5kg cylinder from $14.03 to $11.03

12kg cylinder from $37.42 to $29.41

13kg cylinder from $40.53 to $31.86.

The new prices come into effect next Monday, June 1.
