Huawei Fiji donate mobile phones to NDMO

Update: 5:55PM TWO hundred Huawei smartphones were today handed over to the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) to help boost communication capacity during critical periods of disasters.
At the handover today, business accounts manager of Huawei in Fiji Eago said Huawei supported Fiji’s disaster management operations and would continue to support response and recovery to disasters in Fiji.
Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu noted the importance of communications and technology during periods of disasters.
“We are very much focused on developing the technology within and we are looking at our communications equipment and strategies as well,” Mr Seruiratu said.
“This assistance from Huawei will make a significant impact on the work we do.”
