Hilton Hotel Fiji has appointed Australian Carey Osborne as their new cluster general manager.

While announcing the new appointment, the resort, in a statement, said Ms Osborne would handle all aspects of hotel operations for the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Denarau Island and the Double Tree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji on Sonaisali Island.

Hilton Worldwide Australasia operations vice president Paul Hutton said they were privileged to have someone of Ms Osborne’s calibre and industry experience leading their team.

“Since joining the Hilton family in 2006, ironically as part of the pre-opening team at Hilton Fiji, Carey has enjoyed a very successful career with Hilton across the Asia-Pacific region,” he said.

“She joins the team in Fiji from her current role as general manager at Doubletree by Hilton Melaka, where she has led since 2019.

“Carey has been instrumental in guiding the hotel through the global pandemic, achieving extraordinary recognition for being one of the top 5 recovering hotels in the Asia Pacific.

“The depth of her experience across Australasia and South East Asia coupled with her knowledge of the Fijian culture and market will no doubt set her up perfectly as she takes on this new challenge.”

Ms Osborne said she looked forward to the new opportunity.

“My ultimate goal is to ensure our hotels remain as top choices for both leisure and business travellers visiting the area by delivering outstanding customer service and amenities,” she said.

Ms Osborne held a number of key roles with Hilton in South East Asia, including general manager at Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa and pre-opening general manager at Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon.
