Hopkins completes her four-year tenure in Fiji

Outgoing British High Commissioner to Fiji, Melanie Hopkins completed her four-year tenure in Fiji this week.

Today Ms Hopkins paid a farewell courtesy call to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at his office in Suva.

According to a post on the Fijian Government Facebook page, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama expressed his sincere appreciation of the British Government’s contribution to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ms Hopkins reassured Prime Minister Bainimarama of the British government’s continuous support in areas of cooperation between the two countries and acknowledged the Fijian Government’s role in making the 2018 Royal Visit by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit a success.
