THE Hong Kong 7s side had the opportunity to test their game plan yesterday against one of the best teams there is, the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team.

If anything, the organisers of this week’s McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s in Sigatoka hopes this will boost the team’s morale for the tournament that begins today.

Hong Kong has been pooled with local champions Tabadamu, Sigatoka River Safari Henibua and Lokalevu.

They are seeded second in their pool and will be eying a spot in the quarter-finals.

The team will be using this tournament as a build-up towards the Hong Kong 7s qualifying tournament where they will be featuring against teams.

The Coral Coast tournament starts today with the Shangri-La Fijian Resort Youth competition while the men’s competition starts on Friday.

The pool matches will be played on Friday while the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park on Saturday.
