Hong Kong 7s: Fiji beats New Zealand

FIJI shut out a determined New Zealand outfit defeating them 24-5 to finish top of their pool.

The side scored three unanswered tries in the first half from Aminiasi Tuimaba, Vilimoni Botitu and Livai Ikanikoda. Fiji led 19-0 at the breather.

Fiji maintained majority of the possession in the match defending well and forcing New Zealand to commit errors.

Apenisa Cakaubalavu scored first in the second half while Fijian born Jo Ravouvou scored NZ’s first try in the match moments later.

The try was not converted to keep New Zealand’s points at five.
