MAY we always live together in peace, said National Federation Party member of Parliament Lenora Qereqeretabua in Lautoka yesterday as she officiated at Holi celebrations.

She recalled her childhood days in Nadi when she took part in the celebrations in the 1970s.

“Holi celebrations give an opportunity to share and embrace one another’s rich traditions, to understand each other better,” she said.

“May we never lose sight of the meaning of Holi.

“May we always live together in peace and remember that we have more similarities than differences.”

She said Holi was a festive day to meet others and “forget and forgive”.
