A FRESH production order was issued for former squash national Justin Ho by the High Court in Lautoka yesterday.

The 28-year-old is charged with one count of attempted unlawful exportation of illicit drugs alongside former Fiji Airways flight attendant Frederick Epeli.

The pair was alleged to have tried to export more than 2000 grams of cocaine to Sydney, Australia, in December last year.

Judge Justice Daniel Goundar made the order after receiving information that Mr Ho was still admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.

He said Mr Ho’s medical report issued in court yesterday was submitted in May.

He said an updated medical report was supposed to be handed in by his defence counsel.

Justice Goundar issued an order to the Fiji Corrections Services to assist in acquiring a progress report for Mr Ho and to justify his non-appearance yesterday.

Meanwhile, present in court was 40-year-old Mr Epeli who pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Following the plea, Mr Epeli’s defence counsel Aca Rayawa said they were prepared to go to trial.

The case has been adjourned to July 18 for mention.
