HMNZS Taupo leaves Fiji

THE Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) inshore patrol vessel, HMNZS Taupo departed the Fiji waters this morning after serving three months in Fiji.

New Zealand Defence Force Advisor, Lieutenant Colonel Josh Wineera said she has left Fiji after a job well done.

“Taupo, she leaves home proudly served in Fiji as did her sister-ship, Hawea last year,” he said.

He said during HMNZS Taupo’s Operation Wasawasa in Fiji, there was a sense of collaboration with the Fiji authorities and the Fiji Navy.
