High Court: Man facing aggravated robbery charge still on the run

A MAN charged with two counts of aggravated robbery is still on the run, the High Court in Suva was informed today.

Kitione Cagi failed to appear before judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe while his accomplice Emosi Baleidrokadroka has been further remanded.

It is alleged the two entered into a person’s house and stole cash and assorted items to the total value of $86,350 on August 29, 2017, in Suva.

Defence lawyer Lavenia David informed the court that she would be withdrawing as the lawyer for Mr Cagi because she had not received any instructions from him.

The case has been adjourned to May 16.
