Helping parents is not child labour, clarifies minister

Minister for Employment, Productivity, and Industrial Relations and Youth and Sports, Parveen Kumar says simple work done after school by children like gardening and helping their parents at home are not considered as child labour.

Mr Kumar said such work was important as it would assist to develop children.

He said Fiji has domesticated the fundamental principles and rights at work.
