FIJIANA has a hectic schedule after the 2018 Commonwealth Games which ended yesterday at the Robina Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
Fijiana coach Iliesa Tanivula said discipline had to be improved after two players Rusila Nagasau and Pricilla Siata copped yellow cards in the Commonwealth Games.
Fiji defeated South Africa 40-12 in the placing match where they fought hard to get the sixth place after beating Kenya 40-5 in the fifth and sixth place off.
“We have a busy schedule with the Japan 7s also coming up next weekend and the girls have another big task at hand,” he said.
“It was a tough match, but the girls got up from the disappointment from the loss against Australia on Saturday. It was another day, another match and they kept on fighting.
“Hopefully we will get on top with the hard work and improvement in the team.”
Tanivula said the Commonwealth Games was a learning curve for them.
“We need to improve on the decision making when playing under pressure and it was crucial for us,” he said. ‘
“We also have to look into the discipline as we got yellow cards in the competition.”
The team returns to Fiji today and then the Fijiana will depart for Japan on Wednesday.
