UNLESS we work together to address the situation , we will not achieve our goal and I encourage you all to come on board to create that environment where we live healthy lives and this will only materialize if we work together.

Minister of Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said this during his visit to health facilities and communities.

Dr Waqinabete’s efforts to visit the health facilities and communities is gradually lifting the health care services making Fijians more aware of their responsibilities towards maintaining good health.

And the aim of the visits is to discuss and implement new innovative strategies in combating avoidable diseases such as leptospirosis, typhoid and dengue.

Dr Waqainabete has urged all stakeholders to work together for the benefit of their health and a clean and safe environment to live in.

“As the saying goes “you will reap what you saw” so shall be your lifestyle behaviours that will determine your health,” he said..

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has been continuously advocating on healthy lifestyle practices which if people take  seriously will bring enormous benefits to the people including improved health and being more productive.
