Health ministry suspects a case of Men-C

THE Ministry of Health and Medical Services has suspected one case of Meningococcal Disease (Men-C) in the Central Division.

Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete confirmed this, saying the cases of meningococcal diseases this year were less compared to last year’s.

“We are suspecting maybe one but we have yet to confirm but certainly we’ve had 10 cases as supposed to 85 cases last year,” he said.
