Health Ministry focusing on Maritime areas

THE Ministry of Health and Medical Services is working tirelessly to avail majority of health services to the people living in the Maritimes areas.

The Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete during his visit to the Raviravi Nursing station and the Beqa Health Centre yesterday said the aim these visits were to meet staff and discuss the challenges they face.

He said the maritime areas were difficult places where health service delivery needs equal attention.

“I would like to ensure that every individual in this nation has equitable and accessible health services where no one is left behind therefore interacting  with staff and the people provides that platform to work towards accomplishing the desired goal,” he said.

He said every Fijian had an equal responsibility in ensuring better health for all and this he added could be achieved only through a collaborative effort.
