AMONG the hundreds awaiting the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex here in Nakasi is 69-year-old retired school teacher Nanise Naerecoko who has been eagerly waiting hoping to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.
Ms Naerecoko’s son Atunaisa Mataitoga left for the UK to join the British Army in 2007 and she has not seen him since.
“I am here just to get a glimpse and pay homage to my son since he serves in the British army,” she said.
The cold weather and drizzling rain have not dampened her spirits to stand here today to get a glimpse of the motorcade.
