Hardware company joins event

HARDWARE company Vinod Patel has joined the Petero Civoniceva Foundation, the organisers of the Dash for Diabetes race which will be held in Suva next month.
The race is to raise awareness against non-communicable disease in the country.
The company handed prizes for the different categories on the day of the race.
Their assistant advertising and promotion manager Vijay Krishna said the they were happy to be part for such events.
“We have been sponsoring for the second year and we decided to go big,” he said.
“In terms of our social corporate responsibility, we are very focused to get people fit these days.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone who are fitness conscious and want to live longer. We look forward for the event.”
Petero Civoniceva Foundation’s Lawren Jagger said money raised would be contributed to Diabetes Fiji.
“We are grateful the company has come onboard and it is another incentive for families, and coporates to be part of the event.
“It would be a great day to raise awareness to get fit and help,” she said.
“Registration on the day with a fee of $1 and you just turn up and be part of the event.
“The race will begin at 9am and participants will run down to Suva Grammar School and come back.”
The race will take place on November 26 at Buckhurst Grounds.
