THE Suva football side has been facing difficulties in preparation for next week’s Courts Inter District Championship.

Coach Gurjit Singh said the team had not trained since Tuesday because of the unavailability of grounds.

“We do not have any grounds due to the bad weather. Bidesi Park and FFA Grounds in Vatuwaqa are the two grounds we usually train at but both grounds are unavailable right now,” said Singh.

Suva will be looking to continue with its fine form after finishing as runners-up at the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament earlier this year.

Suva last won the IDC title in 2014.

The host open its IDC campaign against Nadi at 6pm next Friday at the ANZ Stadium.

In other matches on day one, Rewa plays Tavua at 1.30pm, Labasa battles Nasinu at 3.30pm, while Lautoka takes on Ba at 8pm.
