Greig St to open after Diwali

Update: 7:55PM SUVA’S Greig Street will remain closed to motorists and will now reopen on Wednesday November 2, 2016, weather permitting, says the Fiji Roads Authority.
FRA chief executive Officer John Hutchinson said it was unfortunate Greig Street would not reopen before Diwali.
He said the contractor was working to have the road opened by Wednesday, but the pavement, sealing and concrete work were yet to be completed.
“Like any road construction project, you never really know about the surprises that could delay a project until you are actually carrying out the work. In this instance, the contractor has met some unforeseen ground conditions,” Mr Hutchinson said.
