GRANDSTAND tickets for the three-day Coca-Cola Games have been sold out, says Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association general secretary Vuli Waqa.
He said positive responses received this year was evident in the sale of tickets.
“The tickets have been sold out but we kept receiving calls from people wanting the tickets,” said Waqa.
“The funny thing is that the pre-booked tickets have been sold out also.
“It goes to show the power of Coca-Cola Games and people from all over the country are looking forward to be part of the games,” Waqa said.
Coca-Cola Amatil (Fiji) Ltd marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram also confirmed that the much anticipated 100m finals would be held on the second day of the competition.
“The only big change this year is having three days for the meet instead of the normal two days,” Tikaram said.
“The 100m finals will be held on Friday — this is to allow the athletes ample rest time.”
He said defending champions Natabua High School and Adi Cakobau School would anchor the torch relay at the ANZ Stadium before the official opening on Thursday next week.
