GRAMMYS: Fiji born father celebrates Brooke’s win

Update: 6:11PM FIJIAN born Bernie Fraser is a proud father after his daughter Brooke Fraser was awarded the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song at the 60th Grammy Awards.
The award-winning folk-pop and Christian music artist, won the award through her song, “What a Beautiful Name” which she wrote for the Hillsong Church.
The 35-year-old is the eldest of three children , born to former All Black Mr Fraser, who was born in Lautoka, Fiji, and his wife Lynda Fraser.
According to Radio New Zealand, Mr Fraser was a proud father after receiving a text of his daughter’s victory.
“Ever since she was a young girl she”s been a fantastic pianist and then she started playing the guitar in her last year of college, she’s been writing music since she was about 12,” he said in a report by RNZ.
“She’s a very, very good girl and not one of these people that go out and boast and that, she’s a very humble person.”
