Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Ashneel Sudhakar says the Opposition has the audacity to talk about the economy when they themselves had done everything to damage it.

He said while Government saw prosperity and progress through economic activity, the Opposition saw potholes and debts ‘and they forget that there were no roads before in places where they are counting potholes.

He said Government’s debts are used to build assets for the nation.

The minister said the Opposition spoke about Government’s 1 per cent projected economic growth and tried to undermine it, forgetting that in the face of global economic slowdown because of US-China Trade war, Brexit, and many other uncertainties, where even large economies like India have negative economic projections, Fiji was still able to keep its head high with a 10-year unbroken streak of economic growth, and still has a positive outlook.
